How this site makes money, and what your rights are as a buyer.
RestingDove is free to read and doesn't charge for anything. It's funded by affiliate commissions: when you buy a casket, headstone, urn, or piece of cremation jewelry through some of the links on this site, the seller pays us a small commission, at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is the same either way.
We choose which sellers to feature based on our own research into price, reputation, and how they treat grieving families, not based on which one pays the highest commission. If a seller stops being worth recommending, we stop recommending them, whether or not we earn from that link.
Amazon Associates
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
RestingDove participates in the Amazon Associates Program, an
affiliate advertising program designed to let sites earn fees
by linking to Amazon.com. We use it for commodity items like
keepsake urns and memorial décor. Outbound Amazon links carry
rel="nofollow sponsored noopener" and the tracking
tag is visible in the URL.
Memorial-industry affiliate partners
Where we've confirmed a live affiliate relationship (currently
Titan Casket, ClearStream Monuments, Pulvis Art Urns, and Miracle
Memorial), outbound links to that seller carry
rel="nofollow sponsored noopener". Every other seller
we link to is a plain, untracked link until we've verified and
joined their program.
Your right to buy elsewhere
Under the FTC's Funeral Rule (16 CFR Part 453), you can buy a casket or urn from any seller you choose, and a funeral home is legally required to accept it without charging you a handling fee. That protection applies to funeral providers, it doesn't extend the same way to cemeteries and monument dealers, which generally fall outside the Rule and set their own policies on outside headstones. Nothing on this site changes either of those rights, and nothing we recommend requires you to use a particular funeral home or cemetery.
